Yoga Studio Owner and Instructor, YT200
Angie Shepard is a graduate of the Pacific Yoga Teacher Training & Advanced Studies Program. During her course of study, she received a comprehensive education in body alignment and awareness, anatomy, philosophy, pranayama (breath work) and Ayurveda. Her introduction to yoga began in 2010 where she took her first yoga class to help ease the effects of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It didn’t take long before Angie felt the positive effects of yoga including a dramatic increase in energy and a greater sense of well-being. Angie focuses on the healing aspects of yoga with a strong emphasis on energy potential, alignment, and movement within the body. Angie’s philosophy on Yoga could be summarized as: “Yoga can change your life, but it isn't a single application; it's dedication to practice which opens the body, the mind, and the heart promoting harmony, wellness, and continued growth.”
Angie is an independent yoga instructor at the Richland Community Center and different public park outdoor locations in Richland and Kennewick during the summer months. She is available to provide on-site group or private yoga instruction for businesses, clubs, and special events.
Certified Biofeedback Technician Angie's fascination with energy potential in the body led her to advance her studies through The College of International Holistic Studies (CIHS) where she received her certification as a biofeedback technician. She has found biofeedback to be effective for relaxation and muscle re-education. Clients who learn how to relax more and re-educate their muscles are often able to better manage their stress and improve the quality of their life.
